Ordering your Wedding Stationery
Below is a summary of how to order your wedding stationery.
Congratulations, you have done the hard part choosing your design. and now you are only a few steps away from receiving your finished copies and sending out your stationery suite.
Turn Around Times
Flat Invitation suites
Turnaround times are around 3 weeks from receipt final proof approval. Your invitations are not sent to the printers until we receive written confirmation from you that you are happy with the final proof sent to you via email. They are sent to the printers every other Monday so if you miss that day then it will be another three weeks before they are back for us to do the checking and finishing touches, before they are sent to you.
The turn round time is longer. Once the order is received and paid for, then we start on the design process, and put your wording together for you to proof. Once the invitations are final proofed then we order all your stock in and we we start producing your invitations, which as you can appreciate, as they are made by hand, then they will take longer.
You can pay a rush charge to have your stationery made top priority. This will be £50. This allows us to pay for expedited postage from our suppliers and work outside of normal hours to get them sorted for you. This guarantees a 16 working day turnaround from the date that we receive your payment and final proof approval. This is subject to availability, and you would need to check with us in advance.
All the designs are carried across the different elements of stationery that you might require, whether it is Flat designs or Couture designs, to accompany your wedding invitations, for example RSVP and information cards. ‘ On the Day’ stationery items are also available when you start to think about the finer details of your celebrations, Menu, table cards, order of service etc.
There is always room for bespoke touches to all our stationery and we are always happy to accommodate a couples specific colour theme.
Once you have chosen your design, you should request a quotation with for your requirements, (make sure to allow for a few spare invitations - this is particularly important with the flat invitations, which have a minimum order of 30, and it is costly to have a second short run. We suggest you add on 10% to the order. We will then send you a formal quotation, together with instructions for sending payment. We require full payment for all your In Advance items, ie. Save the Date and Invitations, and a £50.00 deposit to secure your diary booking for On the Day stationery. We cannot book production time until we have both your order confirmation and payment. Payment can be made via Paypal.or Bank Transfer. Once you send us your payment, we will let you know what information we require from you, with a form to fill in so that nothing gets missed - e.g. Guest List (if you require the names to be printed in your invitations, Guest Information Card wording, such as details for the hotels or other accommodation, church details, if required, etc.
If you would like to book into the diary for your ‘On the Day’ stationery at the same time as ordering your ‘In Advance’ items, you should also decide on which ‘On the Day’ stationery items you would like and work out an estimate of quantities - these can later be adjusted by up to 25% up or down.
So now we are ready to go. We typeset from the wording you supply so that your invitation carefully reflects your personality and tone of your celebration. Within 48 hours you will receive the first PDF proof of your stationery via e-mail. Note that colours will appear differently on screen than they will when printed. It is a really good idea to get a second person to read through the proofs too.
It is really important to check the proofs meticulously, as you bear responsibility for the content. It is no problem at all to take in any amends as necessary - three proofs are included in the costs. After that we charge £15 per set of proofs. We will require written confirmation via email from you that your proofs are as you want them. After that no amendments can be made.
Approve your final wedding invitation proof after careful review. Our proofs are custom designed and are not automatically generated from your on-line quote form, so please check all proof details carefully. We recommend having several people review your proofs prior giving final approval. Once you give your final approval card and other stocks will be ordered in. All invitations are checked again before we print to ensure that the printed result is the best it can possibly be.
Finished copies of flat invitations will be delivered within 3 weeks of your final proof approval. For couture invitations the turnaround time will be 6 weeks from final proof approval.. Delivery for orders value under £100, is £8.25, and over £100 the cost is £15.00 per overnight dispatch to a UK address. Delivery overseas will be quoted on an individual basis. Table plans will be charged at £20.00. If you live locally to Bewitching Stationery then your stationery can be collected from us at a mutually agreed time.
If you have ordered On the Day stationery, then 6-7 weeks before your wedding we will contact you for your confirmed numbers for your stationery items. Bewitching Stationery will then send you a final invoice and confirm what other information we require from you, ie. wording for Table Names/Numbers, Place Cards, Orders of Service, Table Plan, etc We must receive your payment, and the information requested, at least 4 weeks prior to your Wedding date so that we can get everything ready for dispatch in time for your wedding.
Supply of information
Please ensure that information supplied for stationery is in a usable format and accurate to the best of your knowledge,
to minimise amendment and reproofing.
You can work backwards from when you would like your RSVPs to decide on a timescale for our invitations.
Venues will have deadlines for final numbers, usually around 2 months, but remember to allow enough time for getting other stationery items printed and proofed. Invitations - generally leave 2 months for guests to reply and lead times are an estimated 2-3 weeks so supply your invite information on average 10-12 weeks before you’d like the RSVPs back.
Please note that once you have signed off the proof in its entirety, you bear final responsibility for the design and typographical elements of your invitations. Bewitching Stationery will not bear the costs of reprinting and shipping orders due to any errors that have been approved, nor will a refund be issued.
